Leap of Faith

Those who have seen Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade may remember this scene, where Indy must take a “leap of faith” into the unknown. This is how I feel about life at the moment. I am currently sitting in the very split second after he takes his first step and his foot comes down onto the bridge. There are so many emotions in that split second. The fear and hope and uncertainty of not knowing whether there will be anything there to prevent you from falling, mixed with the relief having survived. A natural instinct telling you to retreat to safety, and a sense of purpose driving you forward. It’s an odd place to be, and yet I know that each subsequent step will make the next one easier, as I learn to follow the Lord in faith, not trying to discern or understand all of His plan right now. Instead, I remind myself of the wisdom of Moroni in Ether 12:6 when he tells that “ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.”
