NaPoWriMo: Day 23

Prompt: Think about the shape of the letters [i.e. in a word], and use that as the take-off point for your poem.

A is the timid sprout with roots that reach down deep
P is there to shelter and protect you from the rain
R is poised and ready to mow your dandelion lawn
I is stretching tall to awake from winter slumber
L is the sill of a window left open night and day
